ACE Executive Director Gil Van Over III shares advice from a sergeant in the Houston Police Department who is working with area dealers to catch identity thieves in his latest article for Agent Entrepreneur.

In addition to responding to alerts from dealers and dealership personnel, the sergeant maintains regular email communications, including the latest tips relating to identity thieves and the tactics they employ.

“He quickly responds to possible events of identity theft and stopped a transaction by having the perps arrested at a dealership last week,” Van Over notes.
