AG Weiser Sues for Alleged Car Warranty Fraud

Colorado Attorney General Phil Weiser says the owners of a service contract provider misrepresented its products and services as well as its charitable endeavors.
Colorado Springs-based Champion Car Warranty and its owners, Jack Yehid and Ralph Anteby, stand accused of refusing to field calls from customers and service managers seeking approval or reimbursement for ostensibly covered repairs.
Worse yet, Weiser added, a promise to make a donation to Operation Military Family on behalf of every new customer yielded only one bounced check.
“Businesses that deceive consumers about the products and services they sell are breaking the law,” Weiser told Fox21. “In this case, the company and its owners misrepresented their reputation and even lied about making donations that support veterans. When scam artists like these defendants seek to take advantage of Coloradans, we will hold them accountable.”
