Dealers Use AI Scanner to Detect Car Problems in Seconds

Findlay Cadillac of Las Vegas is among the 300-plus dealerships leveraging a new, AI-powered vehicle scanner developed by UVeye. The technology was designed to scan the vehicle’s exterior for defects and damage and deliver a condition report, impressing customers and hopefully catching minor problems before they can escalate.
Findlay’s GM told CarScoops reporter Thanos Pappas that the new system is no threat to the dealership’s workforce, which is busier than ever as the scanner continues to identify issues that may otherwise have been missed, undoubtedly increasing RO tallies.
“The only person who may find the encounter painful is the customer,” the GM joked.
