Unlocking the Power of Video: Adapting to Generational Differences

Most dealers leverage some form of video marketing, but too many fail to fully appreciate its potential, according to Tim Copacia, executive vice president of strategic development at J.D. Power UnityWorks.

In an exclusive to Digital Dealer, Copacia urges dealers to leverage the power certain platforms — ranging from YouTube and connected TV ads to TikTok and Snapchat — have to draw in consumers belonging to the generations who use them most.

“By understanding the video preferences of different generations, dealers can optimize their video strategy to find and convert more car buyers,” Copacia writes. “Understanding how different generations interact with video content can help dealers create a more strategic, segmented approach.”
