Car Pros Sells Three Washington Dealerships to Canadian Group
Canada’s Go Auto has acquired all three of Car Pros Automotive Group’s dealerships in the state of Washington, reducing Car Pros’ footprint to its six California stores.
The acquired dealerships, formerly known as Car Pros Kia Tacoma, Car Pros Hyundai Renton and Car Pros Kia Renton, have been renamed as Go Kia Tacoma and Go Hyundai and Go Kia of Renton.
The 70-rooftop, Edmonton, Alberta-based Go Auto broke into the U.S. market with the 2023 purchase of Toyota of Bellingham and Mercedes-Benz of Bellingham, also in Washington, according to a release posted by Kerrigan Advisors, which advised Car Pros in the sale of the Tacoma and Renton stores.
The release quotes a Dec. 4 LinkedIn post by Go Auto President Phil Abram, who writes, “These acquisitions represent key steps in our long-term strategic plan: strengthening our presence in the U.S., growing in major Canadian markets, and continuing to strengthen our position across key market segments.”
