Tesla Cybertruck Earns 6th Recall of 2024

Tesla has issued its sixth recall of the year for the long-awaited and divisive Cybertruck, citing a defect in the drive inverter system that could the vehicle to completely lose torque and propulsion while driving. The issue only affects about 2,400 vehicles that were produced toward the end of 2023, according to MotorTrend.

Although the number of affected vehicles is limited due to the Cybertruck’s recent launch, this issue is the most dangerous so far and could potentially diminish Tesla’s momentum in rolling out its new flagship EV.

The resolution to this particular issue will be a complete replacement of the inverter unit to impacted vehicles at no cost to the consumer.
