Acura, Honda and VW Announce Recalls

Several brands under the Honda and Volkswagen umbrellas have announced simultaneous recalls addressing a range of issues from steering-control to fire risks.
Auto Dealer Today reports the impacted models include:
- 2023–’25 Acura Integra, Civic Type R, CR-V Hybrid, CR-V and HR-V
- 2022–’25 Civic and Civic Hatchback
- 2024–’25 Acura Integra Type S
- 2025 CR-V Fuel Cell EV, Civic Hybrid and Civic Hatchback Hybrid
- 2021–’24 Porsche Taycan
- 2022–’24 Audi E-Tron GTs and RS E-Tron GTs
The Honda/Acura recall is related to an issue with the steering gearbox assemblies, which may have been constructed incorrectly. The issues affecting Volkswagen group vehicles is related to a fire risk related to high-voltage batteries.
