Series of Recalls to Send 500,000 Ford Units Back to Dealerships

Nearly half a million U.S.-sold vehicles built by Ford Motor Co. have been added to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s list of recalled units thanks to an array of potentially faulty parts.
Affected vehicles include the Bronco, F-150 Lightning, Flex, Econoline and Explorer as well as the Lincoln Navigator. The causes vary wildly, from in-vehicle technology to bubbling windshields and loose trim and panels. Issues with the Bronco’s front seat bolts and the Econoline’s defrosting and defogging systems are arguably the most critical.
Last month, Ford recalled more than 100,000 F-250, F-350 and F-450 Super Duty pickups due to a potentially faulty steering column component.
