Tesla Offers Stripped-Down Cybertruck for $72K

Tesla has launched the Cybertruck Long Range, a single-motor, rear-wheel drive version of the fully electric pickup that offers a bump in range and a long list of deleted features, starting at $71,985 with destination fee — about $10,000 less than the dual-motor, all-wheel drive version whose sales have failed to meet expectations.
Optimized for distance, the Cybertruck Long Range can go 362 miles between charges, 37 miles longer than the AWD. Available 20-inch wheels reduce range by 19 miles.
The new base Cybertruck delivers 315 horsepower, 7,500-pound towing capacity and goes from zero to 60 miles per hour in 6.2 seconds, giving away 285 hp, 3,500 pounds and 2.1 seconds to its AWD stablemate.
