Frosch: F&I Consolidation Has Unintended Consequences for Agents

Mike Frosch, president of Meramec Secure, says his company’s platform was built to resolve a “quiet crisis” for dealer agents: losing out on new business when one F&I partner acquires or is acquired by another.
“More and more agents tell us they are running into the same roadblock: their long-standing VSC and GAP providers will not quote new business because the target dealer is already ‘spoken for’ somewhere inside the provider’s growing family of acquired companies,” Frosch writes in an exclusive to Warranty News. “In other words, the provider has effectively become both their partner and their competitor.”
Frosch says Meramec Secure offers an alternative, leveraging relationships with administrators, underwriters and product platforms, allowing agencies to secure “conflict-free” partnerships.
