Spectrum Adds National Automotive Industry Day

Spectrum Automotive Holdings has successfully petitioned the National Days Archive to establish a National Automotive Industry Day, to be celebrated every Oct. 1 in recognition of the industry’s contributions to the nation and its economy, culture and society.
The date was chosen to commemorate Oct. 1, 1908, the day the first Ford Model T rolled off its assembly line.
“By formally recognizing the industry’s historic achievements, immense economic contributions, cultural impact and ongoing innovation, we honor the past and chart a vision for the automotive future,” the National Days Archive page states, in part.
In May, Spectrum announced the creation of National Automotive Dealer Day, to be celebrated every May 19.
